          Reflections at Breakfast

Members of the Executive Committee enjoy a breakfast buffet in the dining room the first day of meetings. The members arrived at TFWC Headquarters Monday, January 29th for their scheduled winter meeting Tuesday and Wednesday. The members had a full agenda taking care of business, planning the Spring Convention April 19-21 in Abilene & Albany, and planning for the future. The original meeting was canceled because of the ice storm that griped the state the third week of January.

Hard at Work

Sitting around the table clockwise from the bottom is E.P.Storie Chair of Trustees, Leabelle Finch Scholarship Chair, Dorothy Roberts First Vice President, Margaret Kriegel Parliamentarian, President Patricia, Recording Secretary Sandi Conway and President-elect Marjorie Williamson. Unfortunately Janelle Holden Second Vice President was unable to make the rescheduled meeting.

Come to Austin to tour the Headquarters Building! Here is a peak at the President's Suite. The suite is furnished entirely from donated items from members and friends. Each President has the privilege to bring her own accessories to make the suite more personable during her stay. Our current president has spent considerable time here during her first six months taking care of business. The furnishings are not opulent or extravagant, but very comfortable.

The new year brought a set of Lennox china 'Federation Blue' pinstripe. A 5 piece place setting service for 10 complete with serving platter and bowl. In addition this dear friend threw in the flatware, Oneida. All we need now for dinner is a set of glassware...

Missing from the residence was decent seating; couch and comfy chairs. Shown here is a new addition, a Hunter Green Love Seat. The bedding and curtains, which are also new, combine to make the apartment welcoming and cozy.
